Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. The stories she reported in Charleston about the police's leniency regarding DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. It led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous guidelines in these cases. Ms. O'Dell received an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Following her stint in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter. Then she joined Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. O'Dell, in addition to anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes.
