The summer of 2021 is expected to bring a new level of uncertainty about how we can continue the crucial human connection that was which was enjoyed by Rotary in years past. Even though the "hands looking out into space" mantra is undoubtedly an integral part of our routine it is clear that the confidence of Rotary has been growing and more people are making face-toface connections. Rotary has certainly changed. As we move into summer of 2021, the level of uncertainty regarding how Rotary can provide the same human connection which Rotary members experienced in the past continues. It is not clear if the mantra "hands face space" will become an integral part of our routine, but it's clear that there's a rising confidence and a need to be face-to-face with people. Rotary is changing. Rotary's networks create friendships lasting. The outbreak of the pandemic was an impetus for us to adopt the latest technology. We've honed our methods of holding online meetings for our business while introducing activities for service and social in a safe face-to-face format. To create an exciting new future, we've embraced this opportunity and combined these with the most efficient pre-pandemic practices. It's encouraging to know that 75 percent of Rotary clubs plan to continue their "business regular" activities. This summer the majority of Rotary members have been out in public focusing on various projects including river and beach clean-ups, litter removal and beach cleanups. The article is in English.
